Seattle, Washington
September 26-28, 2013
Jeanette and Chuck Mefferd were our wonderful hosts for the 2103 Convention in Seattle

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2103

SEATTLE CITY TOUR
The tour covered about 50 miles and lasted about 4 hours from pick up to drop off. Stops included Pioneer Square, the Ballard Locks and a great city skyline photo opportunity.

OPEN HOUSE
Jeanette and Chuck entertained us at their home in Puyallup, about 20 miles from the hotel, where we viewed Jeannett's collection.
They arranged for a caterer friend to prepare some authentic Mexican cuisine and entertained us with music by their talented sons.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2013

MEETING DAY
Before we got down to business for the AGM, we had an opportunity to socialize and view the Raffle, Door Prize and Mysteries Tables.
The items that members were offering for sale in the Silent Auction included some really "must-haves".
Our presentaions included one on the Egyptian design, Bob Stevens Favourite Florals.
Brenda and Ian Kimber solved our members mysteries
We were able to use the hotel's shuttle buses to take us to a nice seafood restaurant for dinner.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2013

SALES MALL
Our 2013 Sales Mall was smaller in vendors but great in quality. It included some west coast vendors we have not seen before. We also attracted a number of visitors from the hotel to the Satusrday afternoon session open to the public.
The closing of the Silent Auction is always exciting.

CLOSING DINNER
The Closing Dinner is always fun and yet sad that we will not see our friends for another year.

"DUTCH AUCTION"
The "Dutch Auction" has become a staple of our after dinner entertainment. In a "Dutch Auction" the auctioneer starts high and then keeps lowering th bid until someone jumps in to buy.
This year we had pots of exceptional quality offered in the auction.
