THE NORTH AMERICAN TORQUAY SOCIETY (N.A.T.S.)

HOW TO SELL YOUR TORQUAY POTS

The North American Torquay Society has put together this guide for selling either a single pot or a whole collection. The options are not listed in any particular order and it's up to the individual seller to decide which option is best for them.

Advertise in The Collector

Three times a year the Society publishes its magazine, The Collector. A limited amount of advertising space is available in each edition. Members can place one free ΒΌ page advertisement per year.

Advertise on this website

Members can place an announcement of their pots for sale on this website without charge. The announcement will be carried for 12 months following its first publication.

Society meetings

The Society holds one Annual General Meeting and Convention per year in different parts of the USA where two 'selling methods' are available.
          a. Silent Auction Up to 4 pots can be placed for sale on the Silent Auction Table. This sales table is unstaffed and a bidding sheet with a description of the pot is placed beside the item.
          b. Sales Table If you have more than 4 pots to sell it may be worth having your own sales table. Having a sales table allows an unlimited number of items to be sold.

Local Auction Houses

A list of local auctions houses can be found in Yellow pages.

Online Auction Houses

Web sites such as eBay sell hundreds of pots each week.

Antique Dealers

Antique Dealers, Antique Malls and consignment opportunities can be found in your Yellow Pages.

NB - The society does not buy collections or offer a valuation service.
